Our Story

The Existence of this Union was dependent on the hard work of key individuals.
We serve as the governing body for managers within the fresh produce market sector, focusing on these primary objectives:

The main object is “To act as a platform creating regular interaction amongst all role players in the fresh produce industry”. “To promote professional fresh produce market management for the benefit of participants in fresh produce marketing.”

About Us

Overview

A committee was established to create a shared platform for agents, markets and key suppliers of technology. This was done in order to coordinate, share and pro-actively contribute to management of information and technology related issues on markets.

Information technology on markets plays a crucial role in the ability of both market management and agents to perform their trading mandates. A renewed focus on this very important element of daily trade will contribute greatly towards the reduction of risk, improved transparency and information integrity
